Las Vegas 2007 - Sara and I flew up to Las Vegas again. This time, we met my parents for a long weekend. We stayed at the Alladin Hotel, probably for the last time (it was bought by Planet Hollywood and is undergoing renovations). We tried to single out the places we didn't have time to go during our visit in our 2006 trip. It was an interesting weekend, both St. Patrick's Day and March Madness fell over the weekend.
Las Vegas 2006 - Sara and I drove up to Las Vegas for a weekend of fun, entertainment and no thinking. We stayed at the Luxor but went to almost every major casino along the strip. On the way home to Phoenix, we stopped at the Hoover Dam and had lunch.
Apache Trail National Scenic Byway - Over Labor Day weekend, Sara and I took a scenic drive along the Apache Trail National Scenic Byway. The trail leaves from Apache Junction, a town in the far east side of the valley. The Byway is a 40 mile drive on Hwy 88 from Apache Junction to Roosevelt Dam. We were glad to get out and do the area, and snapped some great photos in the process.
San Diego, California - Sara, Steve and I took a trip to San Diego over a long weekend in early July. We went to a Pearl Jam concert at San Diego State, visited the La Jolla beaches, walked around the zoo and hung out downtown. The following gallery contains photos from the drive out from Phoenix and the trip itself.
Red Rock State Park - Sedona Arizona - Sara and I took a trip up to Sedona, Arizona on December 17, 2005. About two hours north of the Sun Valley, Sedona is home a a few state parks and famous rock formations. We chose Red Rock State ParkWe saw planty of scenic overlooks though. Many cliffs to stand atop and look down. We hiked a lot but a nice time was had. We took plenty of photos.
Around Tempe, Arizona - Sara and I decided to take a photo tour of sorts around the Tempe part of the Sun Valley. We drove down to Guadalupe (which might as well be Mexico), up to Arizona State University and back through the downtown Mill St. area. We took plenty of photos. Check them out.
Cross Country from New Jersey to Arizona - For those of you who aren't aware, I embarked on a cross country trip in order to get myself and my car out to Phoenix for my relocation. Oh, and to have some fun on the way. I ended up traveling with Mitch Rinn. I know Mitch through my brother Steve. Mitch and I are both very into music, I would say more than your average joe. So we decided to make this a musical journey when planning our route. Click here to see the full write-up.
AC Milan vs. Chelsea FC, July '05 - On July 31st, I went to see a friendly match between AC Milan and Chelsea FC, two of Europe's top club teams. I went with my brother Steve, Steve K. and Josh. The morning and afternoon consisted of heavy tailgating and lots of soccer. Click here to see the full write-up.
Washington DC (Jul. 15 - 17, 05) - A bunch of the Marist guys got together in Washington DC for a long week in mid-July. It was in-part to Chris's return from the Middle East, and in-part a going-away for me, as I am not sure I will see everyone again before I move to the desert. Read about the whole weekend. Note, these photos are all from Friday only. This was the good night.
John and Heather's Wedding in Peabody, Ma (Jun. 26, 05) - Sara, Steve Pasq. and I attended John Pidgeon and Heather Webster's wedding in Peabody Ma on June 26th, 2005. Again, I would tell you more about, but its easier just to read about it here.
American Museum of Natural History (Jun. 16, 05) - Sara and I went to the American Museum of Natural History during a weekday in June. I would tell you more about, but its easier just to read about it here. These are just the photos champ!
Queens of the Stone Age @ Webster Hall (Mar. 24, 05) - I went to see Queens of the Stone Age, at Webster Hall. Now, this technically for work. Since Joey Castillo is a prominent LP endorser, and a friend of the company, we landed four all access passes and one photo/video pass. Our regular photographer had a scheduling conflict, so I filled in. I was allowed to pass in and out of the VIP area and dressing room, quickly on stage during soundcheck, and in the pit area for the first three songs to get as many photos as I could. Now, I went with a small camera that I didn't know how to use. Between that and fighting against the light show, band movement and other photographers, most of the live shots didn't come out so well. I went up and sat on a couch in the VIP section for the rest of the show, occassionally walking to the balcony edge to get some more shots. We also got the see the band afterwards. All and all a different kind of concert experience.
South Carolina (Nov. 4 - 7, 04) - Steve Pasq. and I went down to South Carolina for a long weekend in the beginning of November 2004. We stayed in Mount Pleasant, right outside of Charleston. When we weren't experiencing the Carolina nightlife, we browsed around the sites of the city. A another day, we made the drive to Beauford, about an hour south, to Chris's then apartment and military base. A few notable things that we saw were Fort Sumter, Rainbow Road, The Outdoor Market in Charleston, Taco Bell and lots of Southern Hospitality.
Seaside Heights (Summer 04) - These are pics taken, mostly by Steve, from the shore house in Seaside Heights this past summer. There aren't any of the beach, or the boardwalk, just of people drinking and doing funny things. Some pictures might look good, like people took the time for a pose. But I can almost assure you that isn't the case. The photos not taken by Steve were taken by Sara and I. *Seperated into two galleries.
Vermont (Aug. 5 - 8) - I spent 2 1/2 days over this past weekend in Vermont, on Lake Hortonia. Other than eating and drinking like kings, we went cliffdiving (Video), visited the Magic Hat Brewery, went on the lake few times with boat, stooped in a few country Markets and the Vermont Teddy Bear Factory and walked around in both Manchester and Burlington.
Pacific Northwest (Apr. 20 - 25) - I went to Portland, Or. and Seattle Wa. for a 6 days at the end of April, 04. It cannot stress how nice it was to get out of the Northeast and into the northwest. People were considerate, the weather was beautiful, the seafood was amazing and the breweries were plentiful. The pictures I took are separated into Portland and Seattle galleries. Other than breweries and walking around the cities, we went to the Japanese Garden in Portland, the Oregon Coast, Vancouver (Or), the Washington coast, the Space Needle and the Experience Music Project building. I could have spent the entire day in the EMP building, and snapped some illegal photos, breaking the law.
Misc. Stuff (2000 - 2003) - Yeah, these are random pictures. No rhyme or reason to what's in here, just what I found. There are photos from a Ranger game (where they beat the Red Wings, God only knows when that will happen again), one from Canada, a few from Jersey, some of the Goas dogs, Marist Alumni weekend, NYC and one Chris sent from the Middle East.
About the Photo Base
I know, this is why you came to this page! To read, and not look at any pictures? Super Pal!
Ok, seriously, in a nutshell, let me just say that all of these pictures were taken by me, or at least my camera. My current camera is some Fuji digital camera that serves my purpose just fine. There are a few pictures here and there that are older, but you don't care, so nevermind.
Basically, these are some pictures I took that I think are somewhat worthy to be seen by innocent bystanders. Now quit reading this!
