About Ted Goas

A Little More Background Information

Ted and SaraThat's me on left. The lady at my side is my fiancé, Sara. I was born and raised in northeastern New Jersey. I attended Westwood High School and had fun for four years at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, NY. School taught me how to use a computer and I've been playing on them ever since.

After 25 years in the NY/NJ metro area, I relocated to a big sandbox to pursue a graduate degree in technology management. I was fortunate enough to meet a great gal (above) before driving out. The two of us live in sunny Tempe Arizona, where it's probably 20 degrees hotter than where you are right now. Unless you're in Tempe. Grad school ended in 2007 and I decided to stick around for a while.

Professional Background

I hope you already have some idea of what I do for a living. And yes, I thoroughly enjoy it. My professional work experience has given me the opportunity to work with a varying list of clients. In the areas of design, photography and videography. I've gotten to work with:

  • Computer giants such as Microsoft, HP, Xerox, Adobe, IBM, Toshiba.
  • Musicians from Queens of the Stone Age, Jane's Addiction, Lenny Kravitz, Santana, Sting, Dream Theatre, Whitney Houston, and Orquesta Canela (just click the link!)
  • Others organizations like Red Bull, NASA, and Avenue.

Career Mission and Vision

My short-term objective is to gain employment in the field of web production, usability, design and development. My recent positions and projects have enabled me to take on leadership and management roles. My long-term objective is to obtain a senior or management position in the field which uses my skill and experience as a designer, developer, and project & staff manager. Although my experience may suggest that I jump around from job to job, I would love nothing more than to settle down into a great job with a great company. I am not a flight-risk!

Personal

Ok, ok, enough business talk. I don't spend my entire life in front of computer screens. I like to unplug quite often (no computer, no cell phone, no iPod). I enjoy reading, enjoy hockey and football, and love the occasional concert.
